The Puffin Who Knew Nuffin is a Christmas show for children
aged 5-8 and their parents with special focus on how we
deal with change (including climate change) and unpredictability.
The story begins in Edinburgh where a little girl, Charlie’s
life is about to be ruined by the news she has to move to
Sydney, just before Christmas.
Charlie tries everything (including kidnapping a sleeping puffin)
to keep her life nice and predictable but things turn out differently…
Alice Mary Cooper and myself first presented the Puffin as part of
the ArtCop Scotland events programme in December 2015.
We had three shows – at a library, a school and an arts
centre- during this first “run” and got some very positive
and inspiring responses so we have decided to develop the Puffin
into a two-hander (with Claire Willoughby) for the next festive season.
We also want to make sure we can get the Puffin to those
children less likely to ever hear about climate change.
